Boniface Muli is an experienced hotel pre-opening Facilities Maintenance Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry across the Middle East and Caribbean Islands. Currently, he is the Director of Engineering at Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Turks and Caicos, where he oversees resort pre-opening ramp-up, property operations, engineering budget management, records management, customer service, profitability, and team leadership.
Previously, Boniface served as Chief Engineer at Moskito Island in the British Virgin Islands, managing diverse operational aspects including diesel plant and water systems, fuel management, marina and dock maintenance, guest room repairs, vehicle and boat maintenance, waste management, fire safety, landscaping, and gardening. His comprehensive oversight ensures smooth facility functioning and exceptional guest experiences.
Before Moskito Island, Boniface held senior supervisory roles with Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas in Doha, Qatar, where he managed power plants, seawater reverse osmosis systems, firefighting equipment, electric vehicles, waste management, pest control, and recreational facility maintenance. He also supervised boiler and plant rooms operations.
Boniface’s early career included electrical and maintenance roles in challenging environments such as Afghanistan, and valuable experience with Emaar Hospitality Group in maintenance supervision. He is certified in HVAC, fire safety, QMS auditing, and project planning and holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Mombasa. He also completed QMS Lead Auditor training with MITE Qatar.
