Leading Honeywell Building Automation Across META
Since July 2025, Nabil Cheqroun has served as Vice President & General Manager at Honeywell, leading Building Automation across META. His responsibilities span a diverse regional landscape shaped by smart cities, sustainability, and infrastructure transformation.
His leadership covers key verticals including data centers, hospitality, healthcare, smart cities, airports, rail, stadiums, industries, and smart infrastructure. His focus is on combining emerging technologies with localized customer value while driving strategic growth and strong regional execution.
Building Commercial Growth Through Strategy
Before assuming his current role, Cheqroun served as Chief Commercial Officer for Honeywell Building Automation across META from January 2024 to July 2025. He led integrated commercial strategy across Projects, Services, Products, and Software, with responsibility for areas including channel management, customer marketing, pricing strategy, and commercial excellence.
His approach brought together market knowledge, strategic partnerships, digital transformation, and customer-centric innovation to support Honeywell’s positioning in smarter, safer, and more sustainable building solutions.
Previously, as Regional General Manager, he led the Building Solutions projects P&L business across the region. His responsibilities included expanding the company’s footprint, developing go-to-market strategies, and building regional partnerships and capabilities across airports, smart cities, energy-efficiency initiatives, and integrated building projects.

A Career Rooted in Energy and Infrastructure
Cheqroun’s leadership journey extends beyond building automation. At GE Grid Solutions, he held regional sales and service leadership positions across the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and Pakistan, working with utilities, industries, and oil and gas customers.
His responsibilities included business development, commercial strategy, asset life-cycle management, digital services, customer engagement, and the development of high-performance multicultural teams. Earlier roles with Alstom Grid, AREVA T&D, and Bombardier Transportation further strengthened his experience in project management, sales, contracts, finance, operations, and infrastructure.
This progression has given him hands-on exposure to both established and emerging markets and a professional understanding of the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa.

Combining Engineering, Strategy, and Leadership
Cheqroun’s academic background reflects the multidisciplinary nature of his career. He earned a Doctorate in Business Administration focused on Leadership, Strategy, Innovation, and Energy Transition from École des Ponts Business School.
He also holds a Specialized Master in Project and Program Management & Business Development from SKEMA Business School and a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from CESI.
Beyond his professional expertise, Cheqroun communicates across multiple languages, with native or bilingual proficiency in English, French, and Arabic, alongside working knowledge of German and Spanish.
